Our client is an innovative, expanding electrical contracting company servicing client across Inner City Melbourne and surround suburbs, with their office based in Brunswick East.

The Opportunity

This new opportunity within the business will see you responsible for the day-to-day office administration duties. As the Administration Officer you will have a diverse role including customer service, personal assistant duties, job scheduling, procurement and data entry of client’s jobs.

This is a position best suited to someone who is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and database management systems (Ascora – training will be provided), demonstrates exceptional communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

You will also provide a high level of general administrative support to the office including:

  • Answering incoming calls, providing customer support and assistance
  • Use internal data management systems and CRMs to log job details and raise job orders (Ascora)
  • Quality system management
  • Personal Assistant duties to the Director
  • Procurement of plant and materials for projects, ensure delivery and documented receipt of goods
  • Scheduling and distribution of work, maintaining open communication with technicians to ensure the successful completion of client requirements
  • General and ad hoc administrative support duties as required

What we are looking for

The successful candidate for this position will be highly organised, passionate and enjoy contributing to the successful administrative operations of a company.

You will have previous administration and customer service experience, ideally within the trades and services industries, you will also demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Pro-active and responsible whilst multi-tasking daily
  • A motivated, positive attitude and attention to detail, including understanding and following directions
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with clients and colleagues
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
  • Proven experience using Management Software (Ascora training will be provided)
  • Attention to detail, with an eye to streamline business procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to use own initiative and ensure demands and deadlines are met
  • Proven customer service and negotiation skills
  • Experience working autonomously in a similar role
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role

The successful candidate for this position will have good presentation, written and verbal communication skills as you will be representing the company whilst communicating with a range of customers, builders and suppliers.
