We are seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join one of Queensland’s leading industrial, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service providers.

Based from their purpose built, modern facility in Murarrie, this team of industry experts specialise in all facets of the HVACR industries. This is a professional and stable business boasting over 20 years of successful operation and consistent growth.

As the company continues to experience consistent growth, we are seeking a Service Coordinator to commence on a Maternity Leave Contract with the business, starting January 2018 for up to a 12 month period.  This contract will be based on a 9 day fortnight working full time hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.  


Primary Objectives

Reporting to the Service Manager the primary purpose of this position is to assist with the daily operations of the Service Department.  You will be responsible for the scheduling and rostering of the service team (30+ mechanics), receiving service calls from customers, and responding to queries in a timely manner. 

Your attention to detail and strong computer skills will assist in the analysis of labour and resources, while ensuring that the information for the service call, maintenance contracts, and breakdowns has been captured accurately and kept up to date at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for customers requesting maintenance and / or service work
  • Communicate effectively for the allocation and distribution of works, by maintaining open communication with all service technicians and the graphical schedule board
  • Coordinate maintenance activities into a logical work order sequence to ensure all monthly, quarterly and bi annual maintenance requirements are met, including safety, quality, productivity and attendance
  • To perform administration task including processing of timesheets, service reports, log sheets and registers

The Candidate

Ideally, you will be highly motivated, have initiative and be able to work both independently and in a team environment, as well as communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

To be successful you will also hold the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • A solid and proven track record within a service coordinator  / scheduler capacity
  • 3 – 5 year previous experience in a similar position
  • Excellent organisation, time management and planning
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ideally experience with an ERP System such as Great Plains; Wennsoft; SAP, or Pronto
