04 May Wage Subsidy Extended to 30 June 2022
The Federal Government has just announced that it will invest a further $2.7 billion into the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements Wage Subsidy.
For those of you new to the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements (BAC) Wage Subsidy, under this scheme, employers receive 50% of their apprentice’s wages for the first year of employment.
In the years following the completion of the BAC program, eligible employers will receive a further 10% an 5% wage subsidy for each year respectively under the Completing Apprenticeship Commencements (CAC) Wage Subsidy.
To date, under the BAC program, over 73,000 businesses have received financial support to sign on an apprentice and/or a business trainee.
Places in the program are uncapped, available for recommencing apprentices and open to businesses of all size.
Employers have until 30 June 2022 to apply.
