Position Description:

Primary Purpose To contribute to Aserve QLD sales through the preparation of timely and accurate estimates in line with Aserve policies and procedures. An Estimator is responsible for actively identifying and communicating the risks and mitigation strategies within the estimate in order to allow Operations to successfully deliver all contracted work with zero harm and meeting budgetary requirements.

Key Accountabilities

 Undertakes site inspection and measures or alternatively determines measurement from site plans.

 Identifies HSEQ requirements, labour, materials, hire and subcontractor costs to include in estimation.

 Generates scope of works statement in line with business policies and procedures to clearly define what works are included / excluded from estimation.

 Uses current estimating system to generate estimates in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures a discipline approach is taken in regards to pricing and margin control.

 Ensures all spending is in line with authority matrix. Seeks approval from line manager as required.

 Keeps up-to-date information in regards to changes in access, site requirements, productivity levels, legislation, codes of practice, guidelines and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience

 A proven track record in estimating gained in the same or similar industry

 Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

 Highly organised, with the ability to deliver to project milestones

 Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

 Mathematical competency

 Trade qualification

 Competent with understanding Electrical, Communications and other Systems for Tenders
