The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineer/Estimator to join their Australian Head Office in Melbourne’s South Easter suburbs. Join the National Bid Team to prepare project tender submissions for civil and electrical projects in the aviation sector.

The Candidate

Bringing a positive, committed attitude as you will join a team who always apply persistence, enthusiasm, intelligent optimism and take pride in their work.  The successful candidate will bring knowledge in obtaining tenders, obtaining of material costs, calculation of tenders, project management and overheads.

To be considered for this opportunity you will possess following skills and attributes:
• Have proven knowledge in analyizng drawings, plans and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates
• Compile tender submissions systematically, in alignment with company processes
• Identify creative solutions to client requirements that may involve a degree of competitive differentiation and innovation
• Attend site inspections, actively participate in meetings, build and maintain strong relationships with company clients, industry suppliers and subcontractors
• Confidently negotiate with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain the company systems and tendering processes, work toward strict deadlines and achieve targets while upholding a high standard of delivery
• Assisting with the development and update of company Policies and Procedures, and continuous improvement strategies
You will also bring the following skills and experience:
  • 2+ Years in Civil/ Electrical Engineering
  • Onsite Experience (Advantageous) 
  • Civil Engineering Degree   
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Suite, CAD and Outlook)
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Current full drivers licence
  • ASIC preferred but not essential
  • Trustworthy and reliable, taking pride in your work
